MAT – Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths
Tutored days to push young minds further…
This initiative is an opportunity for young people who have been identified as More Able and Talented (MAT). It is also appropriate for youngsters who display a thirst for learning, an entrepreneurial flair or are just finding lessons aren’t pushing them far enough.

These sessions have been developed to enhance and compliment mainstream education and encourage higher thinking and pushing personal boundaries. Parents can seek school’s permission for their child to join us for weekly day sessions where they will be immersed in the amazing, the unbelievable, the extraordinary and the wonderful - all in the name of STEM!
But what about missing school...
Parents can seek the permission of school to release a pupil for educational purposes which will not affect the child’s individual attendance record or the school’s figures. You may choose to use the attached request form to send in to school link to School Head request form here
How much does it cost?
A block of half termly session can be booked at £65 per day - total cost £390. This is payable in full in advance at the time of booking. A day is 9am to 3pm with two 20 minute fully supervised breaks and a 30 minute lunch break. Snack, water bottle and a packed lunch are required - we are a nut free site.

The important bit!
Keeping children safe is close to our hearts - all our staff are DBS checked, have Safeguarding training and are qualified First Aiders. We have a rigorous recruitment procedure and all our safeguarding and child protection policies align with Estyn standards. Policies are available here
The small print!
Attendance at Education Stuff will be marked at school as a B - attending other education provision off site. THIS WILL HAVE NO NEGATIVE IMPACT ON A CHILD’S RECORD OR THE SCHOOL’S ATTENDANCE FIGURES. Non Attendance - non attendance will be reported to school and school registers marked accordingly.
Contact/Consent - a signed form that must be received by Education Stuff ahead of any child’s first session with us. This form is part of the booking document.
Fees- Fees are non returnable - unfortunately once booked fees cannot be returned as at that point a place is then allocated. This applies to all bookings and includes illness, holidays etc.
In the rare event Education Stuff have to cancel a session a further session would be offered in its place
